About the role

A KS2 Supply Teacher plays a key role in ensuring continuity of learning when the regular class teacher is absent. You will deliver lessons across Years 3–6, following prepared plans and resources, while adapting your teaching to suit the needs of different pupils and classroom environments. You will maintain a positive and well‑managed classroom, using engaging teaching strategies to motivate children, support their learning, and encourage personal development. Strong communication and organisational skills are essential for keeping clear records, providing feedback, and liaising with school staff. You will also be responsible for safeguarding pupils, promoting a safe and inclusive environment, and responding to individual needs to ensure every child can thrive. This role requires flexibility, resilience, and enthusiasm, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on pupils’ learning and school experience.
