About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic primary school located in the Prescot area of Knowsley. This school is seeking a nurturing and committed Teaching Assistant to join them on a full‑time basis from 1st September 2026. This role will be based in their Year 3 classroom as a general support TA, however you will be helping with SEN pupils within the class. The hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30-3:30. Opportunities for permanent recruitment available for the successful candidate in the 2026/7 academic year.

Person Specification

Qualifications
  • Level 2/3 teaching assistant qualification is desirable; however, those with relevant school experience will also be considered.
  • GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above for both) or equivalent Level 2.
  • Current DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one through Connex.
  • Experience in Year 3 would be an advantage.
  • Experience working with SEN pupils, particularly ASD.
