About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic primary school located in the Prescot area of Knowsley. The school is seeking a nurturing and committed Teaching Assistant to join them on a full-time basis from 1st September 2026. These roles will be supporting pupils with SEN in the classroom. We currently have multiple roles available in this school, and we would like to schedule interviews/trial sessions in the coming weeks. The hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30-3:30. Opportunities for permanent recruitment available for the successful candidate in the 2026/7 academic year.

Person Specification
Qualifications- Level 2/3 teaching assistant qualification is desirable; however, those with relevant school experience will also be considered.
- GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above for both) or equivalent Level 2.
- Current DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one through Connex.
- Experience in EYFS/KS1 would be an advantage.
- Experience working with SEN pupils, particularly ASD.
- Builds positive, supportive relationships with pupils and staff to support teaching & learning.
- Upholds high standards of professional behaviour, presentation, and integrity.
- Committed to maintaining consistency in learning and behaviour expectations.
- Open to professional development and constructive feedback.
- Demonstrates strong literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
