About the role
Connex Education are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Receptionist/Administrator with experience working in a busy school environment to join a fantastic, friendly and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced setting and can hit the ground running. The school specialises in supporting pupils with SEHM providing a dynamic, caring, and highly rewarding environment for both staff and students.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing front-of-house reception duties across school sites
- Providing administrative support to the wider school team and Senior Leadership Team (SLT)
- Building positive relationships with parents, staff, and visitors
- Managing pupil attendance processes
- Supporting safeguarding administration including DBS checks, vetting forms, letters of assurance, and reporting procedures
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring strong attention to detail in all administrative work
Essential Skills and Experience
- Experience working within a school reception or administrative environment
- Good working knowledge of: Arbor Sign In App systems, Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong team working ability while also being able to work independently
- A proactive approach and ability to use initiative
- Understanding of school safeguarding procedures
- Ability to manage a busy workload with strong organisational skills
