Salary: £140–£233 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

About the Role

Are you a passionate and adaptable teacher looking for a rewarding PPA teaching opportunity in Highbridge and the surrounding areas? As a PPA Teacher, you will provide high-quality classroom cover to enable class teachers to undertake their Planning, Preparation and Assessment (PPA) time.

This varied and rewarding role involves teaching across different year groups, delivering pre-planned lessons, maintaining positive behaviour for learning, and ensuring continuity of education throughout the school day. You will have the opportunity to work with a range of pupils and staff, making each day different while gaining valuable experience across the primary age range. The role is ideal for teachers who enjoy variety, are confident adapting to different classroom environments, and can quickly build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues. Person Specification

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or pending QTS
  • Recent teaching experience or placements within primary school settings
  • Experience teaching across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2, or the confidence to work across multiple year groups
  • The ability to deliver engaging lessons and maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive, flexible attitude
  • Current DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one through Connex Education
