About the Role
Are you currently studying for your degree or have you recently graduated, and are you passionate about a career working with children? If you are studying towards or have completed a degree in Education, Childhood Studies, Youth Work, Psychology, English, Maths, Science, or Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) / Behavioural Sciences – particularly if you have completed practical placements working with children – we would love to hear from you.
Connex Education is seeking enthusiastic and adaptable Teaching Assistants to join our agency, working across the Wirral. We partner with a range of fantastic local primary schools that are looking for support staff to join their dedicated teams across the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1), and Key Stage 2 (KS2). In this role, you will work alongside experienced teachers and support staff, while also benefiting from ongoing professional development opportunities through Connex Education.

Person Specification
Qualifications- A Level 2/3 teaching assistant qualification is desirable; however, those with relevant school experience will also be considered.
- GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above for both) or equivalent Level 2.
- Current DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one through Connex.
- Builds positive, supportive relationships with pupils and staff to support teaching & learning.
- Upholds high standards of professional behaviour, presentation, and integrity.
- Committed to maintaining consistency in learning and behaviour expectations.
- Open to professional development and constructive feedback.
- Demonstrates strong literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
