About the Role

Connex Education is recruiting passionate ECTs and experienced Geography Teachers for opportunities starting in September 2026. We are currently supporting a number of friendly and inclusive secondary schools across Bristol, with roles available on both a short‑term and long‑term basis from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for enthusiastic Geography Teachers looking to further their career within supportive school environments that value high‑quality teaching, inclusion, and pupil achievement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Teach a broad Geography curriculum, encouraging geographical enquiry, fieldwork skills, and understanding of human and physical processes
  • Adapt teaching and learning activities to support pupils with SEND and additional learning needs
  • Create a positive and purposeful learning environment that promotes curiosity, discussion, and good behaviour
  • Use effective questioning, maps, data interpretation, and differentiated activities to make Geography lessons accessible and engaging
  • Assess progress, provide constructive feedback, and support pupil development in Geography
  • Build positive working relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues to promote learning and wellbeing

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred, although strong secondary teaching experience in Geography will also be considered
  • A passionate and engaging teaching style with confidence in delivering Geography lessons
  • Strong subject knowledge across the Geography curriculum
  • Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within the classroom
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one through Connex Education
