About the Role

Connex Education is seeking enthusiastic and adaptable Teaching Assistants to join our agency for the new term, working across Glossop, Tameside, Stockport and surrounding areas. We are working in partnership with fantastic local primary schools looking for support staff to join their dedicated teams across Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2). You will work alongside experienced teachers and support staff and have access to ongoing professional development through Connex Education.

Assignment Details

  • Positions available on a full-time or part-time basis, starting in June 2026, and to carry on into the new academic year.
  • Flexibility to choose your working days.
  • Roles are initially temporary, with the potential for permanent placement.

Person Specification

Qualifications
  • A Level 2/3 teaching assistant qualification is desirable; however, those with relevant school experience will also be considered.
  • GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above for both) or equivalent Level 2.
  • Current DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one through Connex.
