About the role:

Connex Education are working in partnership with a Primary SEND School in Wirral who are seeking a Full-time SEND TA to join their team as soon as possible. The role will consist of supporting in a mixed KS1/Lower KS2 class, supporting pupils with social/communication needs and Autism.

They use a variety of approaches in a caring and close-knit community, supporting children’s sensory and emotional needs. As a full-time SEND Teaching Assistant at this School, you will support an exciting and interesting curriculum and help pupils develop essential life skills.

Assignment details:

This is a full-time role and with an immediate start date and will consist of working Monday-Friday 8.30am until 3.30pm. The role will be for at least 1 term with the potential of a direct contract.

Person specification:

• Experience of supporting primary children with Autism and social/communication needs
• Able to use a range of communication methods to help break down barriers to learning
• Have the ability to work effectively within a team environment
• Be able to manage behaviour , using positive distraction techniques and creating a calm learning environment where pupils can thrive.
• Able to provide a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
