The Role

  • Deliver engaging and creative lessons across Key Stage 1
  • Plan, teach and assess learning in line with the National Curriculum
  • Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
  • Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development
  • Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and carers to support pupil progress
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and promote high standards of learning and behaviour

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 1 is desirable
  • Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and effective classroom practice
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • A positive, flexible and enthusiastic approach to teaching
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Connex Education
