About the Role

Are you a qualified and enthusiastic Primary Teacher looking for a new opportunity in Frome? Connex Education is recruiting dedicated and committed teachers to support primary schools within the Bath & Wells Multi Academy Trust.

We are looking for teachers who are interested in long-term temporary opportunities, taking full responsibility for their class, including planning, teaching, assessment and marking. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who wants to become fully immersed within a school environment and make a meaningful impact on pupils’ progress and development. We are working with these schools on a range of long-term roles, all the way from 12 weeks to full academic year positions such as MAT leave.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons.
  • Take responsibility for your assigned class.
  • Set high expectations for pupils.
  • Support strong pupil progress.
  • Use assessment to inform teaching.
  • Differentiate lessons to meet individual needs.
  • Complete planning, marking and assessment.
  • Manage behaviour effectively.
  • Create a safe and stimulating classroom.
  • Support pupils’ academic and emotional development.
  • Work effectively with Teaching Assistants.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and parents.
  • Follow school and Trust policies.
  • Promote safeguarding, equality and inclusion.

Job Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Primary teaching experience.
  • Experience across EYFS, KS1 / Key Stage 1 and/or KS2 / Key Stage 2.
  • Strong National Curriculum knowledge.
  • Good understanding of assessment.
  • Experience with planning and marking.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Excellent communication and organisation.
  • Ability to build positive relationships.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach.
  • Commitment to high standards.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusion.
  • Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
  • Right to work in the UK.
