We are looking for a proactive and caring Family Support Worker / Coordinator to support children and families across our school.
You will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team and pastoral staff, helping children overcome emotional, social, family and attendance barriers to learning.
Your Main Responsibilities
- Morning support: Lead Breakfast Club from 8:00am, welcome families at the school gates and provide support to children who need a calm start to the day.
- Nurture and mentoring: Run lunchtime nurture groups and provide 1:1 mentoring to help children develop emotional regulation, confidence, self-esteem and social skills.
- Early Help and attendance: Work directly with families, including home visits, to understand the reasons behind absence and improve attendance, punctuality and morning routines.
- Supporting learning: Work closely with teachers and attend Pupil Progress Meetings to share pastoral information and help remove barriers to learning.
- Safeguarding: Act as a Deputy DSL, maintain accurate CPOMS records, complete Early Help Assessments and work with other professionals and agencies.
