Connex Education is working with a number of Secondary Schools in the Middlesbrough area who are recruiting for an English Teacher to work full-time.

The school offers a friendly atmosphere with a motivated team of teachers focused on student progress. They are looking for an English Teacher who is hard working, resilient and who wants to make a difference to pupils' education. The right candidate will be able to confidently step into the department and continue teaching the existing schemes of work.

Assignment Details

This role can commence immediately and will last for the remainder of the academic year.

Person Specification

  • Must be 21 and over.
  • Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS).
  • PGCE in English or related subject from a recognized provider.
  • You must have an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
  • Have experience teaching English in a UK secondary school setting.
  • Be able to plan and deliver engaging KS3 and KS4 English lessons across ability ranges.
  • Be passionate about instilling a love of English language and literature.
  • Have excellent behaviour management and classroom control skills.
