About the Role:
We are looking for a tutor to support a Y11 pupil with their maths and english who is working slighlty below age related expectations
Experience of pupils with SEMH needs particularly those with adverse childhood experiences and the ability to build rapport with pupils affected by SEMH.
Our ideal candidates should be experts in their subject area(s) and committed to helping students achieve their academic goals, whilst also supporting them with their mentalwellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions, in person.
- Be able to build strong relationships with hard to reach pupils
- Be supportive and understanding.
- Non-judgemental
- Adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
- Assist with homework, exam preparation, and skill development.
- Track and report student progress to parents and/or teachers.
- Create a safe, positive, engaging, and motivating learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven expertise in one or more academic subjects (e.g.,Math, Science, English,etc.).
- Prior experience in tutoring or teaching.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to teach in a clear, concise, and engaging manner.
Requirements:
- QTS (Qualified Teaching Status)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in the relevant subject area (or in progress).
- Reliable internet connection foronlinetutoring (if applicable).
- SEN/SEMH experience
- Flexibility to schedule sessions between Monday to Friday based on student availability.
