About the Role
We are seeking passionate and dedicated Core Subject Tutors to provide personalised learning support for young people across KS4 with varying levels of academic attainment. As a Core Subject Tutor, you will offer face‑to‑face tutoring sessions, tailored to each student’s individual needs. This role allows you to make a significant impact on young people’s lives and improve their future opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver one‑on‑one or small group tutoring sessions in person.
- Build strong relationships with hard‑to‑reach pupils.
- Be supportive, understanding, and non‑judgemental.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
- Assist with homework, exam preparation, and skill development.
- Track and report student progress to parents and/or teachers.
- Create a safe, positive, engaging, and motivating learning environment.
Qualifications
- Proven expertise in one or more academic subjects (e.g., Math, Science, English).
- Prior experience in tutoring or teaching.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to teach in a clear, concise, and engaging manner.
Requirements
- QTS (Qualified Teaching Status).
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in the relevant subject area (or in progress).
- Reliable internet connection for online tutoring (if applicable).
- SEN/SEMH experience.
- Flexibility to schedule sessions Monday to Friday based on student availability.
