About the Role:
Connex Education are excited to be working with reputable schools based in the Worksop area. We are looking to add to our pool of staff that services this school. We are looking for individuals that would be happy to be part of a casual supply pool, readily available for work within this secondary school. This role would fit around other commitments or as a standalone position for flexible individuals. You will be responsible for covering classes across multiple departments, ensuring smooth learning in the absence of the regular teacher. Your primary focus will be on behaviour management, supporting students to maintain progress and stay on task. All lesson materials will be provided for you, and you will be expected to promote positive behaviours and engagement throughout the day.

Assignment Details:
We are looking for staff who are able to start immediately where possible, subject to vetting and compliance. Once employed, there will be opportunities for the rest of the academic year and into the 2025/26 academic year also; meaning you will have consistent work on offer during term time.

Person Specification:
- Have some experience working with young people in either a school setting or a similar environment, i.e., NCS / Sports coaching etc.
- Be confident in your ability to lead a class of children aged 11-16 years.
- Be able to work well with challenging behaviour.
- Hold strong communication skills both orally and written.
- Punctual and organised
- Strong IT skills and proactivity
- Willing to undergo continual professional training.
- Be reliable and committed to working within an education environment
- Able to work under pressure effectively and ‘think on your feet’
- Ambitious and enthusiastic with a ‘can do attitude’ and good sense of humour.
