Connex Education are recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Cover Supervisor in Derby City Centre.

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Frequent – Day to day

Salary: Competitive – Up to £130 per day

Vacancy Details: To work as a Cover Supervisor, supporting across all subject areas (where possible, aligning with the specialisms and experience of the successful applicants). Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring that the pupils are provided with a safe working environment that allows them to learn effectively.
  • Completing lesson reviews that provide the returning staff member with information about the classes that have been covered.
  • Following and adhering to the school's safeguarding and behaviour policies.

Candidate Requirements: To be considered for this role candidates must have / be able to demonstrate:

  • Degree OR GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above for both or equivalent Functional Skill Level 2)
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with pupils and staff.
  • Approachable, able to build respectful relationships with pupils.
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude towards supporting pupil progress and school life.
  • Good literacy & numeracy skills to support learning and classroom administration.
  • The ability to maintain a calm, purposeful learning environment.
  • Understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, and professional boundaries within a school setting.
  • Adaptable and resilient when working across different subjects and year groups.
  • Upholds high standards of professional behaviour, presentation, and integrity.
  • Open to professional development and constructive feedback.
  • Completed the Connex Education/Academize Effective Cover Supervision training course (access will be provided to all suitable applicants).
  • Full enhanced DBS certificate.
  • Completed the Connex Education Onboarding Process.
