We’re looking for confident, adaptable, and motivated individuals to join our team as regular members of staff providing day-to-day ad hoc cover across a cluster of welcoming secondary schools in the B14 area. This is a fantastic opportunity to build experience in education, develop classroom management skills, and make a real difference to students' learning journeys.

About the Role

  • Position: Cover Supervisor – Secondary School
  • Location: South Birmingham (Kings Heath / B14 area)
  • Contract: Ad hoc, day-to-day supply with regular work across partner schools
  • Start Date: Ongoing – immediate opportunities available

Responsibilities

  • Supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher
  • Delivering pre-set lessons and maintaining engagement in learning
  • Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a positive learning environment
  • Supporting the wider school team as a trusted and reliable member of staff

About You

  • Confident in leading a classroom environment
  • Able to follow pre-prepared lesson plans and support students effectively
  • Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
  • Flexible, reliable, and eager to contribute to the life of the school
  • Previous experience in a school or youth setting is desirable but not essential
