Job Title: Core Subject Tutor (Face-to-Face)

About the Role
We are seeking passionate and dedicated Core Subject Tutors to provide personalised learning support for young people across KS4 with varying levels of academic attainment. As a Core Subject Tutor, you will offer face‑to‑face tutoring sessions, tailored to the individual needs of each young person in a challenging but highly rewarding role. This role allows you the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of young people and greatly improve their life chances as they move through their childhood into adulthood.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver one‑on‑one or small group tutoring sessions, in person.
- Build strong relationships with hard‑to‑reach pupils.
- Be supportive and understanding.
- Remain non‑judgemental.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet individual student‑specific needs.
- Assist with homework, exam preparation, and skill development.
- Track and report student progress to parents and/or teachers.
- Create a safe, positive, engaging, and motivating learning environment.
Qualifications
- Proven expertise in one or more academic subjects (e.g., Math, Science, English, etc.).
- Prior experience in tutoring or teaching.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to teach in a clear, concise, and engaging manner.
Requirements
- QTS (Qualified Teaching Status)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in the relevant subject area (or in progress).
- Reliable internet connection for online tutoring (if applicable).
- SEN/SEMH experience.
- Flexibility to schedule sessions between Monday to Friday based on student availability.
