Overview
Cover Supervisor – Secondary Education Cirencester and Surrounding Areas £120–£160 per day (depending on experience) Start Date: September 2026 Weekly PAYE Pay
Connex Education is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to support a range of secondary schools across the Cirencester area from September 2026.
With both short-term and long-term opportunities available, this role is perfect for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced teaching assistants, or anyone interested in building a career within education.

As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for overseeing lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher, ensuring students remain engaged, productive, and focused on their learning.
Responsibilities
- Supervising classes across a range of secondary school subjects.
- Delivering pre-planned lesson activities and instructions provided by teaching staff.
- Maintaining positive behaviour and ensuring a productive learning environment.
- Encouraging student participation and engagement throughout lessons.
- Adhering to school policies, safeguarding procedures, and classroom expectations.

- What We’re Looking For / Qualifications
- Experience working with young people in any setting is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence managing groups of students within a classroom environment.
- Reliable, adaptable, and proactive approach to work.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
