SEND Support Assistants – Primary & Secondary Schools in Chesterfield. Up to £550 per week depending on experience.

About the role: We are proud to support Redhill Academy Trust on an exclusive first call basis for their short & long term staffing requirements for the new academic year.

About the schools: We work with a number of schools across the Chesterfield area where you will be required to support varying pupil abilities working in small groups and sometimes on a 121 basis mainly focused on Literacy & Numeracy. The schools are looking for people who have experience of this in the past and are particularly keen to hear from applicants who have worked in schools before to assist the class teacher create a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Assignment details: These roles are long term and short term assignments starting ASAP (32.5 hours per week, term time only) until the end of the Academic year. The roles may continue further into September for the right candidate.

Person Specification:

  • Have experience of working in a classroom environment or similar setting
  • Have a current DBS on the update service or willing to provide a new one
  • At least 3 months experience working with young people
