About the role

Connex Education is proud to be working exclusively with a respected Multi Academy Trust supporting a range of primary schools across Chesterfield. This rewarding role will involve working across Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, providing general classroom support alongside targeted 1:1 and small group interventions depending on the needs of each school. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children’s learning, development, and confidence within a positive school environment.

Assignment Details

As a Primary School Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support the delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons, helping to create a positive learning environment where all pupils can thrive. Your role will involve providing one-to-one and small group support, assisting pupils with their academic, social, and emotional development, and encouraging positive behaviour throughout the school day. You will be required to build positive relationships with pupils and staff, promote pupil engagement and independence, and support the overall learning and wellbeing of children within the school.

Person Specification

  • Have experience of working in a classroom environment or similar setting.
  • Have a current DBS on the update service or willing to provide a new one.
  • At least 3 months experience with Foundation Stage pupils.
  • Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised experience desirable.
