About the Role

Connex Education is recruiting passionate ECTs and experienced Maths Teachers for opportunities starting in September 2026. We are currently supporting a number of friendly and inclusive secondary schools across Bristol, with roles available on both a short‑term and long‑term basis. Some placements may run through until Christmas, while others could continue for the full academic year ending in July 2027. This is a brilliant opportunity for enthusiastic Maths Teachers who are looking to further their career in supportive school settings that place a strong emphasis on high‑quality teaching, inclusion, and pupil progress.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Adapt teaching and learning activities to support pupils with SEND and additional learning needs
  • Create a positive and purposeful classroom environment that encourages confidence, resilience, and good behaviour
  • Use clear explanations, modelling, and questioning techniques to make mathematical concepts accessible for all learners
  • Mark work, assess progress, and provide constructive feedback to support pupil achievement in Maths
  • Build positive working relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues to promote learning and wellbeing

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred, although strong secondary teaching experience in Maths will also be considered
  • A passionate and engaging teaching style with confidence in delivering Maths lessons
  • Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within the classroom
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one through Connex Education
