To work as a Cover Supervisor, supporting across all subject areas (where possible, aligning with the specialisms and experience of the successful applicants). Ensuring that the pupils are provided with a safe working environment that allows them to learn effectively. Completing lesson reviews that provide the returning staff member with information about the classes that have been covered. Following and adhering to the schools safeguarding and behaviour policies.
Candidate Requirements:
- Degree OR GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above for both or equivalent Functional Skill Level 2)
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with pupils and staff.
- Approachable, able to build respectful relationships with pupils.
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude towards supporting pupil progress and school life.
- Good literacy & numeracy skills to support learning and classroom administration.
- The ability to maintain a calm, purposeful learning environment.
- Understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, and professional boundaries within a school setting.
- Adaptable and resilient when working across different subjects and year groups.
- Upholds high standards of professional behaviour, presentation, and integrity.
- Open to professional development and constructive feedback.
- Completed the Connex Education/Academize Effective Cover Supervision training course (access will be provided to all suitable applicants).
- Full enhanced DBS certificate
- Completed the Connex Education Onboarding Process
