We are working in partnership with a welcoming and well-established mainstream school in Erdington to recruit an experienced School Administrator / Receptionist to join their team from January 2026. This is a full-time, long-term role covering the entire academic year, offering an excellent opportunity to become a valued member of a busy school office.

The Role

  • Acting as the first point of contact for parents, visitors and external agencies
  • Managing telephone calls, emails and face‑to‑face enquiries professionally
  • Providing administrative support to senior leaders and teaching staff
  • Maintaining accurate pupil records and data (SIMS/ARBOR or similar systems)
  • Supporting attendance, admissions and general office duties
  • Ensuring safeguarding and school procedures are followed at all times

Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a school office is essential
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence using school management systems and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy, fast‑paced environment
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
