Location: Birkenhead, Wirral

Salary: £465 – £500 per week (depending on experience and qualifications)

Working Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday (8:30am – 3:30pm)

About the Role

Are you ready to make a real difference as a Teaching Assistant? Connex Education is working with a primary school based in Birkenhead, on the Wirral, who are seeking a full-time EYFS Teaching Assistant to support in their Foundation 1 classroom. To be successful in this role, you will have experience working with children within EYFS – either in a nursery or school setting - and be confident in supporting children with SEN and supporting behaviour that challenges.

Assignment Details

This role runs Monday to Friday (8:30am–3:30pm). The position starts ASAP in June 2026 and will continue until end of academic year (July 2026), with potential to carry on in new academic year in September 2026.

Person Specification

Qualifications
  • A Level 2/3 teaching assistant qualification is desirable; however, those with relevant school experience will also be considered.
  • GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above for both) or equivalent Level 2.
  • Current DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one through Connex.
