Are you confident, personable, and looking for a rewarding role working with young people? We are seeking Trainee Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Bath (BANES). This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, youth workers, sports coaches, support workers, or anyone with experience working with teenagers who is looking to gain valuable school-based experience.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing classes of approximately 30 secondary-aged students in the absence of their regular teacher. You will deliver pre-prepared work, maintain a positive learning environment, and ensure students remain engaged and on task throughout the lesson.
The Role:
- Supervising whole classes during teacher absences
- Delivering pre-set lesson materials and instructions
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively
- Building positive relationships with students and staff
- Encouraging student engagement and participation
- Working across a range of subjects and year groups
We Are Looking For:
- Graduates or candidates with relevant experience working with teenagers
- Confident communicators with strong interpersonal skills
- Individuals with a good sense of humour and natural charisma
- People who can build rapport quickly with young people
- Candidates who are calm, resilient, and confident managing behaviour
- Reliable, professional, and adaptable individuals
