SEND Teaching Assistants Needed! Bath & Surrounding Areas (BANES)
£95 – £110 per day

Connex Education is recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to work across primary schools in Bath and the surrounding areas. We are working exclusively with a large and highly respected Multi-Academy Trust that supports a wide network of primary schools across the South West. The Trust is known for its inclusive ethos, strong community values, and commitment to providing high-quality education and support for all learners. Their schools place a strong emphasis on wellbeing, collaboration and ensuring every child is given the opportunity to succeed.
We are looking for compassionate and committed individuals to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in EYFS, KS1 and KS2 classrooms. These roles will involve working across a range of needs including:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
- Sensory Processing Difficulties (SPD)
- Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
Roles can vary to suit your needs, with flexible day-to-day, part-time and long-term opportunities available.
The Role
- Provide 1:1 support for pupils with SEND
- Deliver targeted small group interventions
- Support learning within the main classroom environment
- Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to implement support plans and EHCP targets
- Help create a calm, structured, and inclusive learning environment
- Support pupils’ academic, social, emotional, and behavioural development
- Use appropriate strategies to support engagement and progress
- Adapt confidently across different primary school settings
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with children with SEND in schools or similar settings
- Knowledge or experience supporting ASD, ADHD, SPD, SEMH, or communication needs
- A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential
- Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Relevant qualifications or SEND training are desirable but not essential
