We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Attendance Officer to join our secondary school team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in promoting excellent attendance, reducing persistent absence, and supporting our students’ academic success., * Monitor and analyse daily student attendance data, identifying patterns and concerns

Implement effective strategies to improve attendance rates and reduce persistent absence

Work closely with parents, teachers, and external agencies to address attendance issues

Maintain accurate attendance records and prepare regular reports for senior leadership

Lead attendance improvement initiatives and reward programs

Support safeguarding procedures by monitoring students’ whereabouts and welfare

Experience in education, social work, or related field

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff

Excellent organisational and administrative abilities

Proficiency in MS Office and school management systems

Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures

Valid driving license and access to own vehicle for home visits
