About the role:
Connex Education are working with a SEND Primary School in Wirral who are looking for a full-time SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team as a 1:1 Support in September. This role will consist of supporting a KS1 pupil with Autism and Global Development Delay.
About the School:
This School caters for pupils aged 2-11 years who have complex SEND and are supported by an Education Health care plan. They have fantastic on-site facilities and actively seek opportunities beyond the classroom through community visits and real-world experiences. All staff put the children at the heart of everything they do and create a fun, calm and engaging learning environment.
Assignment details:
This 1:1 Teaching Assistant role will commence 3rd September 2026, this is a full-time role. The hours consist of working 8.30am-3.30pm. This role is temp to perm.

Person specification:
- Experience of supporting pupils with complex needs, either in a School or a social/care residential setting
- Be able to manage behaviour and foster a positive learning environment
- Be adaptable and able to quickly build a trusting relationship with pupils
- Be willing to assist with personal care
- Able to work well as a team
- Able to use a range of communication styles and adapt to each pupil
- Able to provide a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
