About the Role / Setting

You will work across primary schools within the trust, covering day-to-day lessons as well as longer-term teaching assignments when required. The schools are seeking adaptable teachers who can engage pupils across different primary age groups and maintain a positive classroom environment. You will be supported by Connex Education throughout your placement and matched to opportunities that suit your availability and experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver planned lessons across primary year groups in line with school expectations.
• Provide effective classroom cover for short-term and longer-term teacher absence.
• Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed learning environment.
• Adapt teaching and behaviour management approaches to meet pupils' needs.
• Support pupil progress by maintaining high expectations for learning and conduct.
• Follow school policies, including safeguarding, behaviour and assessment procedures.
• Communicate professionally with school staff and Connex Education regarding assignments.

We're Looking For

• Experience working in a classroom environment or similar education setting.
• At least 3 months' experience working with young people.
• A flexible and reliable approach to short-term and long-term supply work.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Proof of right to work in the UK.
• A current DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for a new enhanced DBS check.
