Connex Education is seeking a compassionate, calm and nurturing teaching assistant to support a child in Year 1 as soon as possible.

About the role:

The school are seeking a teaching assistant who has experience supporting children with special educational needs in primary schools. You will be supporting a child who needs support with self-esteem and structure inside and outside the classroom.

This is a rewarding opportunity for an individual who is looking to make a real difference in a children’s lives. You will work closely with the class teachers and SENCOs to deliver targeted support and tailored learning strategies that will support pupils across the school.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Level 2/3 teaching assistant qualification is essential for this role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in primary schools is essential.
  • The ability to adapt to different learning.
  • It is essential that you have a DBS on the update service, or willing to obtain a new one through Connex.
