Connex Education is working exclusively with a respected Multi-Academy Trust to support secondary schools across Sheffield. We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary School Teachers across a range of subjects to start as soon as possible, offering flexible day-to-day or part-time opportunities. About the Role / Setting
As a Secondary School Teacher, you will deliver engaging, curriculum-led lessons within your subject specialism and help pupils make strong progress. You will maintain a positive and structured learning environment while supporting pupils’ academic, social and emotional development. The schools are part of a values-led Multi-Academy Trust committed to creating inclusive environments where pupils and staff can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all pupils can thrive.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement and personal development.
- Use effective classroom and behaviour management strategies.
- Support pupils’ progress, wellbeing and confidence in learning.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and families.
- Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status.
- Experience working within a UK secondary school setting.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Ability to deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons.
- Knowledge of the secondary National Curriculum and assessment expectations.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Right to Work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
