School Caretaker – Full-Time, Long-Term
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm (can be flexible)
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and proactive Caretaker to join our school team on a full-time, long-term basis.
The successful candidate will help ensure the school site is safe, secure, clean and well maintained, providing a welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities

General maintenance and upkeep of the school premises and grounds

Carrying out minor repairs and maintenance tasks

Ensuring the site is clean, safe and secure

Opening and closing the school premises

Monitoring and reporting any maintenance or health & safety issues

Liaising with contractors and external services when required

Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the school site

Carrying out other caretaking duties as required
The Ideal Candidate

Reliable, responsible and punctual
-
Practical and confident carrying out general maintenance
-
Able to work independently and use initiative
-
Good communication and organisational skills
-
Previous caretaking, maintenance or facilities experience would be desirable

Experience working in a school or similar environment would be an advantage
