About the Role
Connex Education is delighted to be working exclusively alongside a respected Multi Academy Trust (BWMAT) to recruit passionate ECTs and KS1 Teachers for opportunities starting as soon as possible!
We are currently supporting a number of friendly and inclusive BWMAT primary schools across North Somerset, with flexible KS1 teaching roles available on a day-to-day, short-term, and long-term basis. Some placements may run through until Christmas, while others could continue for the full academic year ending in July 2027.
This is a brilliant opportunity for enthusiastic KS1 Teachers who want flexibility while developing their careers in supportive school settings that place a strong emphasis on creativity, inclusion, and pupil wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach across KS1, adapting lessons to suit different year groups and abilities.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Support pupils’ learning, progress, and individual development.
- Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and the wider school community.
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of different learners.
- Maintain effective classroom management and high expectations of behaviour.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the wider school community.
- Promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
Job Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Experience teaching within a primary school setting.
- Confidence teaching across KS1.
- Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum.
- A genuine passion for teaching and supporting children’s learning.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
- Flexible, reliable, and confident adapting to different school environments.
- Commitment to equality, inclusion, and diversity.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
