A fantastic opportunity is available for caring, patient and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming school community within Flying High Trust via Connex Education.
This role would suit someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs, including those who require support with personal care, communication, independence and everyday routines.
About the role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll provide vital support both inside and outside the classroom, helping pupils to feel safe, valued, respected and confident.
The role may include supporting pupils with:
Personal care and hygiene
- Toileting, changing and other personal-care routines
- Dressing and maintaining personal dignity
- Mealtimes and supporting individual dietary needs
- Emotional regulation and wellbeing
- Communication and interaction
- Mobility and physical support where required
- Developing independence and life skills
- Accessing learning and classroom activities
- Building confidence and positive relationships
Personal care is an important part of the role, so we’re looking for people who can provide this support with kindness, patience, discretion and respect for every pupil’s dignity.
