Role: Primary PPA Teacher
Location: Childwall, Liverpool
Salary: £130–£180 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
About the Role
Connex Education are seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable primary teacher for an upcoming post in January 2027. This will be based in a fantastic primary school in Childwall, covering a period of maternity leave.
This role will be covering whole-school PPA, so it is essential that you are comfortable teaching EYFS, KS1, and KS2. Experience in a similar PPA role would be beneficial. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday. Start date will be January 2027, however they would ideally like to have transition/hand-over weeks before Christmas. This will run until July 2027, and then be reviewed for the 2027/28 academic year.
This is an ideal opportunity for Early Career Teachers looking for experience in an excellent and supportive school. We also welcome applications from experienced educators who are looking for a PPA role.

Person Specification
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or pending QTS.
- Experience teaching in primary schools - preferably in a mix of year groups.
- Good working knowledge of the primary curriculum.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, flexible attitude.
- Current DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one through Connex.
