QTS Chemistry Teacher β St Thomas More

Duration: Initially approximately 6 weeks, with the potential to extend depending on recovery

Pay: Negotiable depending on experience
St Thomas More are currently seeking a fully qualified QTS Chemistry Teacher to join their team from 13th October on a full-time basis.
The role is required to provide cover for a member of staff who is undergoing an operation. The initial booking is expected to be around 6 weeks, although this may be extended depending on their recovery.
The Role
The successful teacher will be responsible for:
- Teaching Chemistry across KS3 and KS4
- Planning and delivering engaging, high-quality lessons
- Marking and assessing students' work
- Managing behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
- Taking on a full teaching role, including all associated planning and assessment
- Providing general cover where required, as the timetable is not exclusively Chemistry
Requirements
- QTS is essential β candidates without QTS will not be considered
- Experience teaching Chemistry at KS3 and KS4
- Strong classroom management skills
- Ability to plan and deliver lessons independently
- Willingness to undertake general cover when required
- A commitment to supporting students' progress and attainment
