SEN Teaching Assistant

Salary: £93 – £110 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

Connex Education is recruiting SEND Teaching Assistants to work across a range of supportive primary schools throughout Somerset - Taunton, Bridgwater, Highbridge. This advert is ideal for people who enjoy variety, want to build experience across different school settings, and are passionate about helping children with additional needs access learning in a positive, inclusive environment.

Roles may include day-to-day supply, regular part-time work or longer-term placements, giving you the flexibility to find opportunities that suit your experience, availability and career goals.

  • Provide targeted support for pupils with a range of additional learning needs
  • Help pupils develop independence, confidence and positive learning habits
  • Follow guidance from teachers, SENDCos and wider school teams
  • Previous SEND, care, youth work or classroom experience is helpful but not essential
  • Genuine interest in supporting children with additional needs
  • Understanding of safeguarding or willingness to complete relevant training
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
