1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Bath & North East Somerset (BANES) Salary: Β£93 - Β£110 per day (depending on experience and qualifications) Connex Education is proud to be working in partnership with the Bath and Wells Multi Academy Trust (BWMAT) to recruit caring and committed 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils within mainstream primary schools across Bath & North East Somerset. We are seeking individuals interested in flexible day-to-day supply work, short-term assignments and long-term placements, supporting children with additional learning, social, emotional and communication needs. As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with individual pupils to help them access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their personal and academic goals. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference to a child's school experience while working within supportive and inclusive school communities. Provide dedicated 1:1 support for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Support pupils to access classroom learning and participate fully in school life Assist with implementing individual support plans and EHCP targets where appropriate Adapt support strategies to meet the individual needs of each pupil Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils, staff and families Work closely with class teachers, SENDCos and other professionals to support pupil progress Experience working with children or young people with SEND is desirable but not essential A genuine passion for supporting children to reach their full potential Ability to remain calm, flexible and proactive in a school environment Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply through Connex Education The Bath and Wells Multi Academy Trust (BWMAT) is a family of schools committed to delivering high-quality education across Bath, North East Somerset and the surrounding areas.
