Connex Education is recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Primary Supply Teachers to work across a range of academies and maintained primary schools in North Somerset, within Yatton, Nailsea + Backwell, Portishead and Clevedon.
We are looking for adaptable educators who can step confidently into EYFS, KS1, and KS2 classrooms on a flexible supply basis. Whether you are seeking day-to-day work, regular part-time supply, or short-term placements, we can offer opportunities that fit around your availability and lifestyle.
Supply teaching is ideal for teachers who enjoy variety, want to broaden their experience across different school settings, or are looking for greater flexibility without the full planning and long-term workload of a permanent classroom role. You will support schools by covering teacher absence, delivering prepared lessons, maintaining routines, and ensuring pupils continue to learn in a positive and structured environment.
The Supply Teaching Role
- Provide day-to-day, short-term, and flexible cover across primary year groups
- Deliver prepared lessons and activities left by the class teacher
- Adapt quickly to different school environments, year groups, and teaching styles
- Provide brief feedback to school staff at the end of the day where required
Working on a supply basis gives you the freedom to choose when you work, while still making a meaningful impact in local classrooms. It can be a great option if you are returning to teaching, balancing other commitments, newly qualified and looking to build experience, or simply want to work across a wider range of schools before committing to a permanent role.
Requirements
