About the Role
Connex Education is seeking dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistants to support pupils in primary schools across North Somerset, specifically in the Bath and Wells Multi Academy Trust (BWMAT), as well as other local schools. This rewarding role involves providing personalised support to an individual pupil, helping them access learning, build confidence, and reach their full potential academically and socially. You will collaborate closely with the class teacher, SENDCo, and other school staff to deliver tailored support that meets the pupil's unique needs. Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one support for a pupil throughout the school day
- Support the pupil's academic, social, emotional, and behavioural development
- Adapt learning activities to suit the pupil's individual needs
- Encourage engagement, participation, and independence in the classroom
- Implement strategies from support plans and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) when applicable
