We are recruiting a SEN Teaching Assistant with either Swimming Instructor or Lifeguard experience to join a highly supportive specialist school in Sutton Coldfield from September. This unique role combines swimming support and classroom-based Teaching Assistant duties, making it ideal for candidates with a passion for education, inclusion, and supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
SEN Teaching Assistant & Swimming Support Role
- Support pupils during swimming sessions.
- Promote water safety and confidence in the pool.
- Assist children with physical disabilities during swimming activities.
SEN Teaching Assistant Duties
- Work alongside the class teacher as a Teaching Assistant.
- Support pupils with learning activities and classroom engagement.
- Assist children with Special Educational Needs and physical disabilities.
- Help implement learning and care plans.
Previous experience as a Swimming Instructor or Lifeguard is required. Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable individuals is essential. You should be comfortable supporting pupils with physical disabilities.
This is a full-time position from September with competitive pay of £90 - £110 per day. You will be joining a supportive and welcoming school environment with the opportunity to develop your skills within a specialist SEN setting.
