The pupils you will support have SEN and may have experienced school avoidance, anxiety, behavioural challenges, trauma, or disrupted educational journeys. This role ideally requires Monday to Friday availability, though a minimum of three days a week is a necessity, with sessions typically lasting 2 hours per day. - Adapt teaching strategies to engage learners who may be reluctant, anxious, or disengaged from education.
- Support pupils to develop confidence, resilience, emotional regulation, and positive learning behaviours.
- Work closely with parents, carers, schools, local authorities, and other professionals to support each learner's development.
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN needs.
- Experience as a Teacher or SEN Tutor.
- Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting young people who require alternative provision.
- Access to transport and willingness to travel within the local area is desirable.
- Flexible working: Manage your own diary, ideal for balancing family life, other commitments, or the school run.
- Financial security: Sessions are fully personalised, allowing for creative and engaging approaches.
- Support young people at a crucial stage in their education and help them re-engage with learning.
- Competitive rates of pay: Opportunities for additional referrals and increased hours.
