Connex Education is working with welcoming and supportive primary schools across the Derby area who are seeking Supply SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with a range of special educational needs. This role involves providing targeted support to help pupils access learning and thrive within the classroom environment.
Our partner schools in Derby are inclusive and nurturing environments that pride themselves on delivering personalised support for all pupils. Staff work collaboratively to ensure every child feels valued, understood, and supported. Schools are seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants who are hardworking, resilient, and committed to making a positive difference while supporting KS1 and KS2 pupils.
Roles are available immediately, with both full time and part time opportunities available. Assignments may include day to day and long term placements, depending on availability and school requirements.

Person specification:
- UK experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs in a school or similar setting
- Willingness to provide personal care where required
- Confidence in supporting pupils with challenging behaviour
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain a new one
