Charlotte at Connex Education is seeking a committed and experienced KS2 Supply Teacher to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in the Oldbury area of Sandwell. This is a long-term supply position for the remainder of the academic year, teaching a Year 5 class. The class includes pupils with additional needs, so experience supporting children with SEND within a mainstream setting is highly desirable.
The successful candidate will:
- Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the KS2 National Curriculum
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners
- Effectively manage behaviour using consistent and supportive strategies
- Adapt teaching approaches to support pupils with SEND, including ASD, ADHD and SEMH needs
- Work collaboratively with the SENCO, support staff and leadership team
- Monitor, assess and track pupil progress
