The predicted salary is between 1300 - 1600 £ per month.
As a Cover Supervisor, based in Handsworth Wood, you will play a key part in supporting children with a variety of additional needs, ensuring they can access learning and reach their full potential. You will be supervising a whole class in a primary setting during PPA time and teachers' absence. You will deliver pre-prepared lessons and learning activities and manage classroom behaviour in line with the school policy. As a Cover Supervisor, you will also support pupils to remain on task and provide feedback to staff on lesson outcomes and pupil engagement. There is no planning involved with this role.
Role Requirements
- Previous experience supporting children with SEND in a school or care setting is essential
- Degree in education or equivalent qualification
- A patient, nurturing, and empathetic approach
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required
- Strong communication skills, both with pupils and staff
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children (an enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one through Connex Education, is required)
