As an IT Supplier Analyst you will support the IT Sourcing and Supplier Management team in ensuring suppliers operate in accordance with their agreed contractual obligations, in ensuring spend is within acceptable thresholds and that the Sourcing and Supplier Management function contributes to IT's overall performance.

Accountabilities:

  • Analysing data and producing reports related to existing and potential new relationships with 3rd parties to ensure alignment between service performance and contractual obligations.
  • Supporting Supplier Managers in gathering input from stakeholders regarding supplier performance.
  • Ensuring spend incurred, goods received & invoice values received from assigned suppliers are accurate, resolving anomalies and escalating repeated errors.
  • Developing strong relationships with supplier resources and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensuring actions arising from supplier governance forums are accurately documented and completed.
  • Personally adhering to Connells Group standards and policies including those regulatory and legal obligations that are our passport to do business.
  • Identifying and appropriately escalating if you identify any breaches.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting Supplier Managers and other stakeholders in the definition, communication and delivery of Connells Group's sourcing strategy.
  • Identifying and supporting management of risks and opportunities associated with sourcing and the suppliers allocated to you.
  • Ensuring cost optimisation through spend validation against services consumed vs business requirements.
  • Supplier identification and onboarding.
  • Supporting Supplier Managers in the execution of fair and auditable selection processes for new suppliers, collating responses and evaluation data and producing balanced assessments.
  • Contributing to negotiation of prices for goods and services by gathering industry data for comparison and challenging both internal and external stakeholders where applicable.
  • Working with internal stakeholders to describe quality and service criteria that ensure goods/services from suppliers meet acceptable standards within budget.
  • Working with team members and Legal subject matter experts in creating agreement and schedule content.
  • Supporting Supplier Managers in supplier governance approaches appropriate to the criticality and value of the services provided.
  • Tracking performance and service quality at supplier level and supporting peers within operational teams in identifying continuous improvement or remediation activities as appropriate.
  • Ensuring spend & goods/services received are in line with forecasts and escalating where variance exceeds tolerance.
  • Maintaining oversight of suppliers' compliance with Connells Group policies and their own and Connells Group's legal and regulatory obligations in respect of sourcing and the services provided.
  • You will identify and escalate non-compliance and ensure remedial actions are completed.

Skills and experience:

  • Able to demonstrate good understanding of the sourcing lifecycle.
  • Able to maintain control of multiple tasks running concurrently.
  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft product set (Excel, Word etc).
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Resilient, adaptable and looks for opportunities to contribute.
  • Demonstrable experience in developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Must be a self-starter, proactive, highly organised and demonstrate willingness to take ownership of actions, seeing them through to completion through self and others as appropriate.
