We are looking for an IT Change Manager to join our IT Service Operations team in Leighton Buzzard. You will be responsible for developing and maturing the Groups IT Change Management processes. You will manage the day-to-day pipeline of change activity ensuring sufficient due diligence is undertaken and controls are in place to support necessary change in a safe and risk-averse manner as acceptable by Connells Group. You will also work closely with other team members covering Major Incident Management, Problem Management and Service transition and support the overall team’s strategic goals.

Key responsibilities of the IT Change Manager:

  • Define, develop and communicate the practices and processes necessary for effective change enablement.
  • Introduce and maintain a database of standard changes ensuring they support the need for agile, fast and effective change in a controlled manner without introducing increased risk.
  • Introduce, measure, and publicise Change KPI’s to demonstrate compliance and performance of Teams across the IT department.
  • Coordinate, convene, and facilitate failed change reviews ensuring lessons are learnt and appropriate workstreams are logged into relevant control mechanisms.
  • Participate in Major incident Post incident review to ensure change compliance has been met.
  • Engage with key stakeholders at all levels of the organization to communicate change objectives, gather feedback, and foster buy-in and support.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to project teams and leaders on change management best practices and techniques.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of change initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing improvements as needed.
  • Act as a liaison between project teams, service management, business units, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Experience & skills required to be successful as an IT Change Manager:

  • Strong understanding of ITIL principles and best practices.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in an ITIL process role, 2 years associated with Change Management.
  • Experience developing best practice processes, policies and procedures for functional area.
  • Experience producing Executive level summaries and reports to a high standard.

Personal Attributes:

  • Adept in dealing with and influencing multi-tier management.
  • Proficient engaging and building successful relationships with stakeholders of the change management process, including senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Certification in IT Service Management such as ITIL V3 or V4 Foundation.
