An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a small, friendly, dynamic but growing team within a large corporate group, based in Chester. Your role will be based in the busy Recoveries Department, and you will undertake direct branch case reviews, administrative work, optimise the income recovery and develop indirect and direct debt cases.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Dealing with new cases from inception to completion.
- Responsible for your own case load.
- Day-to-day knowledge of cases within the department.
- Production of template and free format letters.
- To drive recovery of debt income on cases.
- To keep the Management team up to date with case progress.
- Seek legal guidance from in-house solicitors, where needed.
The ideal candidate must have:
- A strong work ethic.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- An interest in investigating cases and problem solving.
- Good letter writing and communication skills.
- Good listening and negotiation skills.
- A confident and professional telephone manner.
- The ability to think outside the box.
- The ability to self-learn.
- Experience obtained within a Recoveries/Collections environment is preferred.
There is a training plan of approximately 2 weeks and initially there is a lot of self-learning. For the right candidate, there may be an opportunity for progression within the department.
